Montecatini
Inspired by Montecatini Val di Cecina, a small hill town and commune in the province of Pisa located in Tuscany. The medieval town sits on the Poggio la Croce hill overlooking the Cecina Valley. Local agriculture and the old copper mine provided Montecatini Val di Cecina with prosperity in the early Middle Ages. Like many Tuscan hilltop towns, its original essence has been preserved due to lack of economic development. The Montecatini stone fireplace offers a sample of medieval history that has been so carefully protected in the region.
